New Hampshire's first railriding park is
11 miles long and travels through woods, swamps, and over lake
Wentworth where you will have the lake on both sides of you to
enjoy as the water washes against the rocks. There are many kinds
of animals, birds and plants along this route to enjoy, as well
as walking and jogging paths, allowing everyone to utilize this
valuable resource.
ESF and The Cotton Valley Rail Club share
the abandoned tracks. Cotton Valley, with its extensive knowledge
base, maintains the tracks and the nearby brush.
We have learned a great deal through
establishing our park that we would like to share with you:
- The State of New Hampshire endorses this
project, and has granted ESF permission to use abandoned railroad
tracks in setting up Railparks.
- Senator Judd Gregg helped ESF become a
501(c)3 non-profit organization.
- Putting selective abandoned track to good
use can save them from being ripped up.
- 50,000 miles of abandoned track in America
imagine the possibilities!!!
Let us put our knowledge and experience
to work for you!
