The Walkersville Southern Railroad has four and one half miles of track thru rural scenic farmland plus a high open trestle over the Monocacy River. It is located just north of Frederick, MD, in Walkersville.  Take Rt. 15 north above Frederick about 2 miles and turn East on Briggs Chaney Rd for another 2 miles to the station. 

The WSRR, a volunteer non profit group, operates this summer excursion and all year charter  line and has an interesting museum right next to the station.
Twice each year the line opens up for railriders, pedal cars and
speeders, even steam riders. At all other times, it would be required
to join the volunteer group, help the RR and request permission to ride.
