Suggestions for peashooter events
1. Have FUN
2. All target holes must be 2 1/2 inches round
3. All peashooters must be 12 inches
4. Targets can be anything, as long as all contestants use the same kind of target
TWO KINDS OF EVENTS
1. Only using peashooters
2. Anything goes - scopes, tripods, lasers, your mate holding it .......
- A trophy should be awarded for the most, "Rub Goldburg" peashooter
EVENTS THAT CAN BE HELD
SINGLE PERSON
(must have shooter name) 2 points if they have a T-shirt with name on it
- FIRST SHOT - 10 peas at 15 feet, shot within 30 seconds - 1 point each pea inside the target
- SECOND SHOT - 10 peas at 20 feet, shot within 30 seconds - 2 points each pea inside the target
- SINGLES MASS SHOT - A person has 10 seconds to shoot as many peas
they can at target - 1 point each pea inside target
TEAM SHOOTING
Three people (must have Team name) 2 points if all members have T-shirts with name on it
- FIRST TEAM SHOT - Team shoots at the same target at the same
time, 15 feet, they have 30 seconds to do this with 10 peas each. 1
point each inside target.
- SECOND TEAM SHOT -
Team shoots all 10 peas at 20 feet, shot within 30 seconds - 2 points
each pea inside the target
- MASS
TEAM SHOT - Team shoots ALL together -10 seconds to shoot - 15
feet away all the peas they can at a container/target that collects the
peas - 1 point each inside target
If there is a tie a
shoot-off must be held - MASS TEAM SHOT - both teams will shoot at the
same time at two different targets placed so that the ammo crosses
while shooting
TROPHIES TO BE AWARDED
Make them FUN prizes
Only shoot at targets, NOT at people or animals….
Remember, safety should always be kept in mind when using peashooters
Wear protective glasses rick-o-shays are common when using peashooters
adults should guide their children in using peashooters
